8 Adventures to try in May
Things are warming up so now it’s time to get outside! Are your ready for some fun?
Water gun fight - Generally we are not advocates of violence of any kind but it’s time to get that blaster out and blast away! Invite your friends over and play!
Race your friends - The challenge? SKIP YOUR WAY TO THE END. One of my most favorite Monty Python sketches is the Ministry of Silly Walks. Have some fun with your race and challenge yourself to out do each others walks.
Be a tourist in your own city - That’s right go do something super cheesy! It’s probably more fun than you think. I mean, it has to be fun otherwise tourists wouldn’t be doing it, right?
Plant something to watch it grow - You can do this outside with herbs or vegetables or keep it inside with houseplants. There is so much satisfaction watching something grow and the adventure can be in keeping it alive!
Eat vegetarian for a week - If one week feels like too much of a challenge, try meatless Mondays for a month. It’s fun to explore new foods and challenge yourself to cook in new ways.
Learn a language - Duolingo is a great app for leaning a new language, and it’s free! Download it and choose the language you want to focus on. Who knows, this may spark your next adventure, or maybe help you feel more confident in booking that trip to Italy.
Pole dancing - Look up pole dancing classes in your area and you are sure to find a few options to choose from. This adventure will challenge you to move your body in unexpected ways. Not a class in your area? How about heading to the local park to try out some moves. Just try not to scare/scar the children at the park.
Rent a canoe - It’s time to get on the water! You area rec center may even have canoe classes! But many local lakes will have canoes for rent. Google it.
We hope you enjoy your challenges this month. Be sure you tag us on social media so we can find your adventures #8adventurestotry.
