The five things you can do now to adventure more
Sometimes the hardest part of adventuring, is not the actual adventure, it’s the figuring out what to do, planning, getting over excuses, and other things that prevent us from living our best adventure filled life. It can get overwhelming fast when you think about all the experiences you want to have. It can be so overwhelming that you end up doing nothing. Sound familiar?
Adventure doesn’t have to be hard, and adventure overload doesn’t have to happen if you start with these five basic steps.
Start small: The best way to start adventuring, is to start adventuring. But jumping into a big adventure can be intimidating. Start with microadventures. Smaller adventures you can do in an evening.
Read a book: Find inspiration in the pages of a book. There are some great reads out there from those who have gone before us which will help ignite that adventure fire deep within you.
Join a group: It’s easier to adventure together. The planning is planned. You’ll be surrounded by supportive new friends who are probably all just as nervous as you. You just knew I had to plug WOA.
Change your routine: One of the best ways to start adventuring is to break a boring routine. It’s easy to get stuck in our same old work, home, tv routine. Try mixing it up and go on a microadventure some night. Go bowling, play putt putt, take an archery class.
Make a plan: All good adventures start with a plan so when you get that inspiration down on paper you will be on your way to a new adventure. Grab our free planner download to help start thinking about different ways you can add more adventure to your week.
